Get Your Novels

Yes, it is that time for you to get your novels. Go to the media center and find a novel between 150-200 pages long. Remember the guidelines I gave you in class when choosing a book. Don't forget, the Librarian is there to help you, so ask if you need help with suggestions or just finding your book. You have one week to complete this part of the assignment. The books are due next friday. Lastly, remember it is first come first choice on books. Each novel can only be used twice per class. So if you already know which novel you want, bring it in to sign up for it.

Good day and good hunting!

Welcome Back

I want to welcome all of you back from winter break. I hope you all enjoyed your time off. Unfortunately, we must get or brain in gear and start thinking about school--yes, that means homework.

We will be starting off with chapter three in our literature books. This chapter covers settings and how they play a part in the story. Later on this month, you will be picking a novel that uses the setting as a big part of the story and write a response to literature essay on it. Start thinking about what novel you might want to pick.

Again, welcome back to school.
